Mom, is okay but this week has been a little tough. She had her round six chemo treatment a week ago last Thursday and I think it actually wiped her out the most of all of them. She was definitely more fatigued and suffered from exhaustion longer this time. She was pretty much out of it last weekend and just rested. She told me that Tuesday was a really rough day for her and that the people in the child support court (basement of court house were extremely helpful to her). She is still going to work to help keep her mind off things and of course there are lots of bills to pay so she actually has to work. Anyway, she almost passed out from the nausea and effects of the chemo, but her friends and colleagues were there to help and she is extremely grateful. The rest of the week went alright, but by the time she got home at the end of the day she was exhausted. This weekend she has been picking up around the house and has been vacuuming and it is definitely harder for her physically as well as emotionally because she realizes that she is not as strong as she once was. It was very difficult, but she is stronger than she realizes too!!! Her physical strength will come back as well.
On tuesday we go for more CT scans and the Dr's appointment is next thursday. I will keep you informed on the results.
Thank you.
On May 13, 2011, our mother, Cindy, was diagnosed with stage 4 Non small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma). She has never smoked a day in her life. Since being diagnosed, as a self-employed and charitable family law attorney she continued to work hard for others in need. We sincerely thank you for your contribution, prayers, and support for our mother.
