Update for tuesday May 31
Today, Cindy had to get the fluid drained from the pleural space around her right lung. This is the 3rd time and they took out 2 liters. She is one tough cookie and handling it very well. The next Dr's appointment is on Thursday when we get the PET scan results. I am making my list of questions and ready for the next steps to recovery. She will have to undergo surgery called a thorocentesis procedure which will seal the pleural space around the lung so that it won't fill with fluid anymore. She is currently at the Cancer Care Center of South Texas, but we hope to get her into the Cancer Treatment Research Center. If anyone can help with that we would be forever grateful. Anyway, remember that God is the Great Physician and it is through him and with him that she will heal!!

Christmas last year all of us together having fun at the Witte and Brackenridge park!
Well, mom is doing well today. I am helping to organize a fundraiser/auction to help defer the costs of the first round of chemo. The tentative date is June 16 and will be selling tickets next week. I will post more info when the venue is confirmed. There are going to be many nice, wonderful items and vacations donated from friends and local businesses! Help Cindy S. Hudson Fight Cancer!
Well, on friday we did not get the pet scan results. We have to wait till next thursday when we have our next Dr's appointment. She will also be getting her lung drained again next week. She is doing well today and staying strong! My little brother, Mike, and his beautiful wife, Annie, and their children, William and Charles, have gone back home to Hawaii. My brother Mike is in the military and stationed there. He had to return for work. They will come back down in July. My older brother John and I both live here in San Antonio. Thank you all for your donations. It is going to be really difficult throughout the treatment process, but we appreciate all of your support and pray for a speedy recovery! She had a pet scan yesterday and we should get the results on friday. The doctors still don't know exactly where the cancer is originating from so once we find that out we can be sure to take the correct form of treatment. Although she will be starting chemo soon. Again, thank you all.
